Every day of the week, Monday through Sunday, is ruled by a planet. In fact, the etymology of the name for each day of the week is inspired by the planets of Hellenistic astrology, and we can see their roots in the Romance languages and their Latin roots. For example, the French word for Tuesday is Mardi, or Mars Day. The Spanish word for Wednesday is Miércoles, or Mercury Day.
And so, each day carries with it the energy of the planet that rules it — and tapping into that energy can be powerful. Using Planetary Days to build a schedule is one of my favorite applications of astrology. It's a gateway into practical magic and a simple, sustainable path to harmony and alignment.
